Sony's music streaming revenue grew 16% as reported but 7% at constant currency, and the gap is the yen
Sony Music reported its July to September quarter on November 5. Recorded music streaming was $1.53 billion (242.2 billion yen), up 16.1% as reported but 7.4% at constant currency. Total recorded music reached $2.42 billion, up 19.5%. Operating income rose 6.4% to 122.8 billion yen, a second-quarter record, and HITS reports Sony raised its full-year forecast.
