Spacewalkers unrolled the eighth and last new solar array on the space station after a low-current scare
On Thursday, November 5, Joshua Kutryk and Anil Menon finished a five-year upgrade by unrolling the eighth ISS Roll-Out Solar Array in a 6 hour 59 minute spacewalk. The new array first showed about half the expected current. Kutryk reseated a cable during orbital night, and good readings followed. NASA says the eight arrays raise station power by up to 30 percent.
