Blue Origin unveiled a hydrogen upper stage and a bigger first-stage engine for New Glenn, which has not flown since a May pad explosion
At an invite-only event at Kennedy Space Center on November 5, Blue Origin showed Glenn Stage 3, a third stage for direct delivery to geostationary and Earth-escape orbits, rated up to 14 metric tons to GEO on the 9x4 version. It also showed Northstar, a methane engine at about 715,000 lb of thrust versus 640,000 lb for the BE-4. New Glenn has not flown since a late-May pad explosion.
